I moved to Virginia in 1986, the year The New York Mets won the World Series and the Mets snatched victory from the clutches of defeat and were world champions for the first time since Casey Stengal's Amazin' baseball team of 1969. I had cable station WWOR Network and I watched the Mets brawl, hit, and slug it up to the top in between music videos on MTV (Kurt Loder digs it), and pops back and forth on MTV and ESPN, but I really didn't watch TV much that summer.
I moved in to my new house in January of '86 actually and lived in an newly constructed house built by a very average architect who no longer designs buildings isolated neighborhood off of a windy highway called Old Georgetown Pike, which a outdoorsman who was friends with my father told me one "was once an old migratory trail , not near any of Mclean or great Falls stores or anything, between McLean and Great Falls.
There were 15 houses in the neighborhood and all of the land was once owned by a 16th manor style house that was in disrepair and beyond all repair I thought and would have minial construction stop and start and stop and start, and me and my friends would go in there with explosives and bb guns and other fun suff and have a "War" . . . TBD.
